Phantom Distinction Fallacy represents an effort to write songs with intentional composition, but one might argue that these tracks sound pretty similar to my improvised music. A distinction without difference, if you will. I approached these songs as a series of jams that were later stitched together and twisted into something resembling leftfield electronic music. Analog modular synthesizers, digital signal processing playgrounds, esoteric stomp box effects, over processed acoustic drums, electric guitar and electric bass were used and abused during the recording sessions and then forged through glass and iron during the mixing process. Phantom Distinction Fallacy was written, recorded, edited and mixed in Bitwig Studio. It was mastered by Gregg Janman at Hermetech Mastering.
